For the first time, a smartphone from the Itel brand – Vision 3 Plus – came to us for review. First of all, the gadget has proven itself with a very large display and a good margin of autonomy. With the greatest probability, it can be noted that the device will be of interest to users who use a smartphone to communicate and view various content.
Itel – what is it anyway?
First, let’s get to know each other. Itel has more than 10 years of experience in the consumer electronics market. Now the brand’s products are represented in 50 countries, and the sales volume reaches 1,500,000 gadgets per month.
The Chinese company Itel announced itself in 2007. Then it was decided to concentrate on the African continent. In 2016, Itel enters the Indian market and quickly establishes itself there with an annual volume of 80,000,000 devices.
Itel’s head office is located in Hong Kong. Currently, the company has research centers located in China and Africa, and there are about 1,500 service centers in all regions. Now that all the points above the “i” are arranged, you can return to the review of the Itel Vision 3 Plus smartphone.
Unpacking and packaging
The smartphone comes in a bright red box. I will say right away – the configuration is cheerful. Inside the package: a mobile device, a clear plastic case, a tool for removing the SIM card tray, a microUSB cable and an 18W power adapter.https://youtube.com/watch?v=7fwG7oiL4FM%3Ffeature%3Doembed
It is also worth noting that the Itel Vision 3 Plus screen has a protective film pasted on it. Immediately respect for the package. When buying a smartphone, you don’t need to worry about purchasing the necessary accessories right away. Everything you need to use the gadget is already in the box.
Just a few words about the cover. Let me remind you, it is made of plastic. It has an unusual shape, due to which it protects the edges and back of the device. At the same time, the front panel remains completely open. In this way, nothing interferes with side swipes on the screen, you will not have to touch the cover with your fingers.
External data
We received a smartphone for review in a bright gradient color of blue tones. Always happy with a similar solution, because black gadgets cause bouts of yawning. However, for lovers of conservative shades, there is a version in black.
The back of the Itel Vision 3 Plus looks unusual. Due to the vertical lines, it shimmers pleasantly in the light and causes interesting looks from passers-by. The surface is matte, so the device sits comfortably and securely in the hand without collecting fingerprints.
In the upper left corner there is a rectangular platform of the main camera. The manufacturer inserted two lenses vertically into it, and a flash between them. Such a solution looks organic. To the right of the camera, there is a fingerprint scanner in the center. By the way, during testing, the biometric sensor performed well and without complaints.
The manufacturer placed a SIM tray at the top on the left side of the smartphone. All physical controls are centered on the right border. There, the volume rocker and the screen lock key are almost under your finger. The location is convenient, no need to stretch.
At the lower end, Itel decided to use a completely standard arrangement of elements. From left to right, there is a 3.5 mm jack for connecting wired headphones, a microphone hole, a microUSB port and a speaker.
The weight of the smartphone is about 215 g without the case. This is due to the large diagonal of the screen and the 6000 mAh battery. However, even with dimensions of 171 x 78 x 9.05 mm, the device is quite comfortable to use with one hand, but such dimensions will not suit everyone.
We understood about the big screen, and more specifically
Itel Vision 3 Plus is equipped with a 6.8-inch IPS display with a resolution of HD+ or 1640 × 720 pixels. The refresh rate is 90 Hz. The picture is smooth and pleasant. The frequency can be adjusted manually by switching between 60 and 90 Hz in the settings, which will help to further extend the battery life if needed. There is also a function of automatic frequency selection, which independently adapts the indicators to what is happening on the display, depending on the usage scenario.
The screen has good viewing angles – the image maintains clarity and color reproduction even with strong deviations. Smartphone settings allow you to adjust the color and contrast to your taste using presets.
As for the image as a whole, the color of the display is natural. According to our impressions, there are no visible distortions in terms of saturation and color temperature. Balanced picture, it is well suited for viewing content.
So, how about performance?
Under the hood of the Itel Vision 3 Plus is a fresh octa-core Unisoc T606 chip, 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, which can be further expanded to 3 GB due to free storage space. By the way, the latest smartphone has a storage capacity of 64 GB with the possibility of increasing the storage space using microSD memory cards.
In the AnTuTu benchmark, the smartphone scored 177,756 points. I ran Real Racing 3 and PUBG Mobile battle royale on medium settings. Both titles demonstrated stable FPS.
The smartphone runs on Android 11 with itelOS 7.6.0 out of the box. Visually, the interface is clean and concise. There are several useful features, including a game mode and a customizable sidebar for quick access to various programs. Third-party software is removed by standard means of the operating system.
How does it shoot?
The main camera is represented by a system of two lenses, the main one at 13 MP and an additional AI sensor. Regarding the second one, there is no specific information, it is probably used by the system for scene recognition, as well as to create a depth of field effect.
The camera shoots decently in good daylight. The picture comes out with natural halftones. Detailing at a sufficient level throughout the field of the frame.
The camera program is able to recognize the scene and automatically select the most correct exposure settings. Available modes include PRO with the ability to manually adjust shooting parameters, as well as panorama, timelapse and HDR. The video is recorded in the maximum FullHD resolution with 30 FPS.
The resolution of the front camera is 5 MP. There is support for portrait mode with artificial background blur. Frontalka also shoots video in FullHD.
How are you doing with autonomy?
The Itel Vision 3 Plus is equipped with a very large battery for 2022. Its capacity is 6000 mAh. Such a reserve is quite enough for several days of moderate use of the device in an everyday scenario. Of course, if you load the gadget well, the charging percentage will start to melt before your eyes. However, a fully charged battery is capable of extracting about 11 hours of gameplay in PUBG Mobile.
There is fast charging – from 0 to 100 percent using the included adapter takes about 3 hours. It is worth noting that half an hour on the wire provides approximately 25%.
